The perfect pie comes from the perfect blend of the right ingredients. In the case of the band Pie, the same is true. The members of Pie come from around the globe to create what can
only be described as alternative singer-‐songwriter music blended with Latin, Blues, and Rock flavors.

Driven by the uniquely amazing voice and lyrics of Ellie Araiza from Mexico, the guitar, keys, and bass attitude of David Zumsteg from Delaware, and rhythm and percussion by L Boogie from the Virgin
Islands, Pie blends their unique style of music to create incredibly honest and real songs, with a hint of humor thrown in to keep the sanity afloat.

They have appeared on several radio and TV shows, including "Let It Shine", "Shock Factor" with Shakim Williams and the incredibly hilarious "Podkward".

Pie's "Yo Se" was used in Ford Fiesta car commercial.

PIE came about somewhat unexpectedly. Actress/Singer Ellie Araiza discovered her passion for song-writing and reached out on Craigslist to find somebody to collaborate with. Using the words “eclectic” ,“creative” and “passionate” to describe what she was looking for, her first response came from David Zumsteg, who certainly fit the bill.

With an attitude of "no rules", their writing began encompassing a huge variety of styles from blues, to latin, alternative and singer-songwriter. They began not necessarily with the intention of becoming a band, but to work on a series of songs in Spanish for a Indie Film that Ellie was to star in.

But, they kept on writing songs… And more songs. The band was born. What they needed next was a name. The thought of “Pie” always inspired a moment of “Mmh… Pie”. They were each thinking of different “kinds” of pie. Nevertheless, the name was fitting as each song they wrote had a different flavor, texture, and temperature.

They released their first full length album “For A Reason” and began work on their Spanish EP “Sol Echo”. Shortly thereafter, their prayers for a percussionist were finally answered. The incredibly unique L Boogie joined Pie. With his cajon and wide variety of percussion instruments and his openness to experiment, he was a perfect addition.

They made music videos, went on tv and radio shows, and had their music used in a Ford car commercial.

They released a "Live at Room 5" CD.

Pie constantly changes and creates new music, open to where their hearts will lead in the creation of art and music. They are self-defined undefinable; "People In Evolution", but mostly… Just good old fashion Pie ;)
